The lovely Mitria from Fashion Group International sent me some photos from last week’s Rising Star Awards luncheon. Naturally, I struck my trademark pose for my official photo.

Here’s one more FGI photo with a good look at my finalist plaque. This one was taken after I got to select my corsage.

There were flowers of all shapes, sizes and colors to choose from. I’m so glad my mother, BarbaraB, was there! I was going to pick the most discreet flower I could find until BarbaraB wisely said, “Take the biggest one.” Sheesh! What was I thinking? Always go for the bold.
Hi nice to meet you. You look amazing in that dress and I love your haircut. Yes the final comment cracks me up – you’re right bold is always best! (And the flower looks so cool) I am going to check out your jewellery now.
Nice to meet you too! Tried to leave a comment on your blog but it wasn’t working for me >:-(
Wise words from mama! Wendy you look so radiant and happy! Congrats again 🙂
also, I’m very sorry for the loss of your friend Charles Nolan, the fashion world has sadly lost another star
Hi my dear-mums always know best and you look stunning, great dress and your hairstyle is lovely xx
You look so fabulous! Congratulations on your recognition.
Wendy, you look RADIANT! And bless you for wearing a bright color.
Dear Wendy, another fabulous colour and that egg locket is gorgeous! xx
Big congratulations to gorgeous you! And, yes, WendyB is all about bold and beautiful, even your subtle pieces are bold in their brilliance.
You didn’t document your new haircut did you?? It’s awesome! x
Fantastic! And I think the new hair is great
Congrats! You look fab – I particularly love your hair!!
Go bold indeed. Or as my aunt always says: “If you’re going to have one, have a big one”
Curious to exactly WHAT your aunt was referring to! 😉
You looked so fantastic that day! And how thoughtful of FGI to have a nice red backdrop for you to pose in front of in that lovely green dress.
Yes, nice of them to arrange that. That was my consolation prize, I guess 😛
THAT DRESS IS STUNNING!~
Yup, go big or go home, baby! I LOVE this green dress – such an awesome shade. Is it a little big on you on top? You look less boobalicious than usual (no offense, you know you’re smokin’). Your hair looks great!
It’s definitely not the shape I usually wear. I did take it in quite extensively! It was huge. But I wanted to preserve the original shape, just as a little something different for me!
You look really great! And so skinny! I could never wear that color. You officially rule! Off to check out that necklace.

Oh my god! That is such an absolutely beautiful marble sectile floor you are standing on.
Oh yeah, what you are wearing is fantastic also. 🙂
I read your name as “Erin” at first and thought you were a fashion blogger gone crazy for floors!
Wendy you looked a storm in that colour! What a fabulous vintage piece.
Love it and glad you went for the bold flower! Mums know best 🙂
xoxo
Marian.
Wow that is a fantastic colour! You’re right to go for a nice big corsage when you’re wearing such a neon colour. You look awesome as is the new hair cut!
You are the boldest flower in the blogging bouquet Wendy! Congrats on the award!
Wow, when did you get that haircut? It makes me think of Jane Fonda during her revolutionary days. Mama like!
Looking goood!! That dress is such an amazing colour!!
I don’t know how I managed to miss this one, but let me tell you lady . . . you look AWESOME!
Thanks!!
