Well, I didn’t win Fashion Group International’s Rising Star Award for fine jewelry, but it was fabulous to be a finalist. I got a plaque as a souvenir and a corsage to wear for the Rising Star lunch at Cipriani 42nd Street. I don’t think I’ve gotten a corsage since eighth grade!
I was delighted to have many of my peeps with me for the occasion.

Margaret Hayes, the president of FGI, found me after the ceremony to give me a few encouraging words. Thanks, Margaret! And thanks again to gorgeous blogger/designer Stacy Lomman for nominating me in the first place.
