While looking for some old pictures of Gigi the dog, I found some good shots of my short 2001 hairdo, taken by my father, GeorgeB, on my birthday that year.

That necklace is not my design; this pre-dates my jewelry company.

I still have that Nordstrom sweater.
Here are some of my other past ‘dos:
Now I wish I had seen this before yesterday’s hair appointment, you look darling. 🙂
I think it’s ADORABLE. And timeless. It doesn’t scream 2001 or anything. Very cute.
I love the evolution, and the picture of the lamp growing out of your noggin.
Wendy, wow, this hairstyle looks great on you!
Love it…and what I love more is you’ve been rocking the red lippie for a long time. I love when you can see the development of a motif, even from early on!

I love it, actually. So sleek and modern!
You look awesome with short hair – very chic and classy (not that you don’t look this way now).
Short totally works on you. Jealous!
Thank you!!! I can always rely on you for a chuckle.
The Shelly Duvall! I’m on the floor… LOL.
WendyB… such versatile lady-locks. Rockin’ every look.
I thought the 80s do was my favorite until the perm came up and punched me in the face. Werk!
Love the hair evolution thing!!! What’s your fave?
x.o.x.o
thanks for stopping by!
The perm, by far.
Bwahahaha, the A.T.T.I.T.U.D.E in the 80s is awesome. And that perm deserved a 90s sitcom all of its own. How come you look good in every single style? The world just isn’t fair.
It’s all about my talented hairstylist, Keith Carpenter. I’ve been with him since the early ’90s.
So fresh! Looks lovely xx
What hairstyle? I can’t take my eyes of THAT NECKLACE!
Sorry to disappoint but I exchanged it for a bracelet days after this picture was taken. And a good thing too. The bracelet is gorgeous but a bit more generic and I can still wear it without feeling like I’m showing off another designer’s work. I would never wear the necklace now per this post http://wendybrandes.com/blog/2010/08/watch-me-wear-this-one/
That is a fantastic cut on you!
I love the necklace. Did you design it?
Didn’t design it and no longer own it. The designer who did it is now out of business.
Very chic!
i just wrote about short pixie cuts today! you look so amazing in everything you try! it must be the self-confidence and the style that oozes out of you:)
smiles,
gina
btw love the pixie with the leather jacket and red lips, so punk
This is excellent – I love seeing people’s evolving hairstyles.
I like ur hair!
But she 2nd photo is stunning..
Loving the body language..
LOx
cool necklace though
How modern you always were Wendy!
I am your fan!
I LOVE THAT HAIR! How freaking cute do you look???? (I have a feeling cute is not my best adjective, but really? A compliment is a compliment, right?)
love the hair chronicles! 😀 you looked great with the pixie! so so cute

I think the hair looks very cute! That’s the best thing about solid dark hair…so great with any styling! -ps I like your jewelry better!!! (but I’m sure you know this!)
Ahh! I had this same haircut! Looks good on you. Would you ever cut it again?! Sometimes I want to but it takes so dang long to grow out.
I love this coif! I had some flashbacks when I saw your 80s hair, though my trademark of the late 80s was permed with feathered bangs… so classy. I wish I had the chance to meet Fernando; he looks like such a fine swine!
I think the thing that really kicks this whole look into high gear is the fire engine red lipstick and matching nails. Tres chic!
You’re going to have to face it, you’re just HOT baby!!
I LOVE your do, you look chic and fabulous 🙂
Wishing you the loveliest day
HUGS
J, xoxo
It is so funny looking back at previous hair ‘do’s’, as a hairstylist I have had some shockers but fortunately not many incriminating photos! e xx
Non, pas en pointe… I’ve stopped torturing myself with those “feminine pain pills”. Too old… maybe;)
You look so utterly chic! I liked you in pixie and perm as well.
Yes, having the perfect hairdresser makes life so much easier, huh!! You look lovely here, that is a timeless and stylish cut!
what a lady! not everyone can pull off this style!
also, i’ve clicked on the other links, and i think this might be my fav haircut of yours! it frames the face so well, me thinks. cheers! 😉
oxx
I really like this cut on you. You look very Amelie( that is a compliment in my book:-).
I can’t decide if I like the perm or the 80’s more! You are blessed with haircut head, every style looks great on you.
I’ve got to hand it to you, not even 80s hair can make you look like shit. You rock rather hard.
I love that hair on you!
(My hair is slightly longer than that now; two weeks ago, I lost much of it in a styling accident. 🙁 )
I love the pixie cut, so badass with the leather!
Oh Wendy you’re such a cute thing! I think you’d look gorgeous even if you wore a potato sack and shaved your head. Of course you’d still be wearing your red lipstick…
