I wore a pearl choker to Vanity Fair’s Oscar party this year.

I wore the choker to the same event in 2006. I was wearing an emerald-green Zang Toi gown which I further accessorized with a beaded, peacock-feather fan and a tux-clad MrB.

We also went to the Oscar ceremony that year, and I managed to lurk seductively behind George Clooney on the red carpet. Going through some photos recently, I realized that I also lurked behind Maggie Gyllenhaal, though not as spectacularly as I did with George. You can just make out a sliver of my dress here.

I really like the pearls layered with other necklaces, the way I wore it this month. I wonder why it took me so long to do that? But I think cats should avoid layering.

I can’t say FitzRoy was very impressed. Which is too bad, I really want to get him a little harness so he can experience the great outdoors!
