A big thank you to all of you who voted for me in three categories for the not-at-all-serious-and-therefore-extremely-important-to-me Drysdale Awards, hosted by Grant Miller Media. Sadly, I didn’t retain my Blogger of the Year title from last year’s Drysdale Awards. But I held onto Most Overt Product or Service Endorsements (known last year as Blog That Is Clearly Paid to Endorse a Product or Service). More importantly, I regained my 2008 title of Blog With the Most Swearing.
The swearing honor is a big achievement, considering I was up against the swear-rific blogger Sister Wolf, who is renowned for her frequent use of the phrase, “What a Fucking Cunt™!”
Speaking of Sister Wolf, I must also thank you for your purchases of my Little Woolf necklace on her behalf. Sister Wolf had a traumatic 2010 and, adding insult to injury, her roof started to fall down. Therefore, I donated $35 of every $50 Woolf purchased (as well as some other profits) to her roof-repair fund. I’m happy to say we raised $1,560 of the $4,000 Sister Wolf needs. She’s asked me to send the check directly to the roofer, so as soon as she gets a final bid on the job, that’s what I’ll do. While my Little Woolf for Sister Wolf benefit is officially over, I’m willing to continue contributing if you make the request. Holla at me at wbjewelry at hotmail dot com if you want to arrange a donation.

Well deserved award. I congratulate you and wish you many many swears in the future. Remember, since I had to give up my swears for my “US Market” – You are Swearing for Two Now xx

Congratulations. Would it be rude to say that it’s well deserved?
Love the cup but not sure the jockey is appropriate. Shouldn’t they do one with your swear rings incorporated for moments like this? Maybe there’s a niche in the market you could exploit…

Congrats on the award!
While I think raising money for Sister Wolf is great, I’m a little confused. Why isn’t her insurance covering the roof?
WendyB says
I’m not an expert in homeowners insurance, but my understanding is that while it covers damaging events (a tree falls on the house), wear and tear over time isn’t normally covered.
