Ten years ago tonight, I rang in the New Year with MrB and a group of our friends at Balthazar.
Ringing in 2007. OMG. It feels like yesterday.
I had a fabulous time …
Am I clutching a huge bottle of … olive oil? Why?!
… but I have never forgotten that one guest complimented my pinkish/lavender lipstick, then added, “That’s much better on you than red.” Humph! If we ever have memory-erasing options like in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or Men in Black, I’ll delete that unnecessary little memory.
I wore a Zang Toi dress and Louis Vuitton shoes. I still have both the dress and the shoes.
Check out the cut-off foot in the photo. This was taken seven months before I started this blog, so head-to-toe outfit photos weren’t a priority.
Enjoy yourself tonight, no matter what you do. (If you like going to bed early, have fun doing that.) I wish you a year that’s full of health and happiness … and free of non-compliment compliments!
YOU not look good in red lipstick?! You ROCK the red lipstick. You inspired me to try red lipstick, which I should have never done. LOL I it so not my colour. LOL
