Last July 29, I attended the Women’s Jewelry Association Gala wearing, appropriately, all gold. I looked up that outfit post while contemplating what to wear to the 2014 WJA event, taking place next Monday. That’s when I realized that I always wore the same gold shoes with the same gold dress. The dress is from my designing friend Stacy Lomman‘s Spring 2011 collection. I also got the Prada shoes that year. In the 2011 photo, I’m standing with my fellow Golden Girls Gang member Tina. In 2012, I wore the shoe/dress combo to a dinner that called for “festive” attire. And the 2013 photo was taken by MrB after WJA. Now that I look at these, I remember that I fretted in 2011 about whether the gold shoes with the gold dress was “too much.” I guess I got over that concern, because now I can’t think of any other shoes that I would wear with that dress.
