I’m not the world’s biggest fan of floral prints, but I do like some, especially the abstract ones textile designer Celia Birtwell created for her husband, clothing designer Ossie Clark, in the 1960s and 1970s. Now a current designer has caught my eye with a hyper-realistic floral look. I spotted this Mary Katrantzou dress in the January issue of W.

Mary Katrantzou dress, as seen in W.
If I come across that one in person, I’ll definitely try it on and report back!
I love florals, maybe a bit too much..
Why, have you broken into your grandma’s house, snatched her TV and sold it to buy florals? Then, yes, you need help.
Love her stuff. Did you know that she’s doing a lower end collection for Topshop? Not sure if it’s going to be released in the US, but I’m sure it will be great.
oooh, this dress speaks to me! I love a waist of red flowers — who doesn’t?
I love ittttttt !
I cant picture it with a long waistcoat and a layerened necklace,I want !
Yep. That’s definitely a Wendy dress! Hunt that sucker down stat! You don’t want another red/brown leopard dress fiasco!
Gasp! Good point!
Abstract floral prints appeal to me more than realistic ones, but I agree with Lara, that dress says WENDY.
I love it! Its not only a great floral print, but a great cut:) You could totally rock this dress Wendy!
color blocking AND printing rolled into one!
It’s very you. Get your people to source one for you. Pronto. Happy Holidays x
The mix of colors is grand!
I hope so, that is beautiful. I’d love to see you in it . . . it would be a real departure for you.
That is certainly a very unique print. If you try it on, I have got to see how it comes across on a real person. I think it’s right in line with your quirky dress collection.
Mary Katrantzou is fab – and Celia Birtwell too!
