My trip to L.A. full of interesting meetings. On Tuesday, I visited Kristin Londgren, a chic little boutique on West Third Street in Los Angeles.A I had a nice long chat with Kristin Londgren herself, who showed me her own line of clothing as well as the jewelry lines she carries.
Here are a few pictures of Kristin’s designs. I liked the origami-like detail on this top.
I know many of you fashion bloggers are crazy for capes.A The leather trim on this one gives it zing.
And here’s gorgeous Kristin holding a premiere-worthy gown.
The ruffle at the bottom of the gown deserved a close-up.
The whole time I was talking to Kristin, I kept noticing neon orange handbags out of the corner of my eye. They seemed so familiar, somehow. And they were! The handbag designer, Lana Shuttleworth, makes the bags out of old traffic cones. Here’s Kristin modeling the messenger bag.
The bags start at $150 for a little purse that would be good for evening. The messenger bag in the picture is $625. Neon colors are back in a big way, plus it’s so eco-chic to recycle!A To order, call Kristin at 323-653-9200 or, if you’re in L.A., visit the store at 8308 West Third Street. She’s just a few doors away from Joan’s on Third.
On Wednesday, as I mentioned here, I had a boisterous dinner with the L.A. blogging crowd. Here’s the group shot, taken by me.
From left to right: Alicia, Miss Janey, ENC, Sister Wolf, non-blogger MrB, Fashion Is Poison, Stef and Deja Pseu.
Sister Wolf and I had big plans to do the classic blogger face-touching pose and we totally forgot! I blame the four glasses of white wine that I had. Sister Wolf only had a teeny sip of a margarita so I don’t know what her excuse is.

Sister Wolf and I got a grip on each other.
I thought my trip couldn’t get any more exciting than that, but last night, as I was walking out of the hotel lobby, guess who was walking in with all their luggage? My idol, Coco, and her hot pimp, Ice-T! I was on my way to a movie but, due to my recent experience at Zang Toi’s apartment, I took a camera just in case something happened. So my second thought was to beg them to pose with me. (My initial thought was to throw myself down before Coco so she could tread on a devoted minion and not sully her feet by making contact with a mere floor.)A But they looked tired and like they wanted to check in and relax, so I thought it would be rude to bother them at that moment. However, I am planning to lurk around the hotel in hopes of getting another chance. Wish me luck!
UPDATED TO ADD: Alicia, Miss Janey and Sister Wolf also posted about the bloggers’ dinner.
The fabric (first pic) looks so comfy & silky smooth.
So much fun! I hope you get your photo op.
Oh, the funsies are endless! I LOVE the ruffle on the gown. Gorgeous.
yay for Coco! here’s hoping you get another photo op! BTW the Wendy B/Sister Wolf photo is fab – red lippy updates please lovely bloggers!
Fab group photo and how come you gave Coco tiredness – geez bet they were begging for recognition behind their tired eyes!
Oh what fun in LA! Thanks for sharing the bloggers’ dinner…love photos of such fabulous meetings!
And that cape is beautiful!
Loving your zigzaggy dress.
And the origami top is beautiful.
too much fun!
xx-LJ from SOS!
i’m so bummed i missed this dinner! next time, for sure…
Wow, you were productive in LA. So jealous of the blogger dinner, we need one in NYC. However, I’m not getting the whole Coco obsession….
Funny that fate should bring you and Coco to the same hotel lobby…was that delicious ass even more luscious in real life?
Scrumptious?
ew
First, thank you so much for getting this group together. It was a blast! And I hope CFR will forgive, but I think your dress modification was an improvement on the original. My pictures didn’t come out so hot (couldn’t possibly have been that Manhattan I guzzled) so I didn’t wind up with anything post-worthy. But thank you again!!
Second, O.M.G., I can’t believe how much self control you have to have held back from your beloved Coco! I really hope you get another opportunity.
So fantastic, WB! The clothes are scrumptious and the table full of beauties is impressive!
xoxox,
CC
So jealous
What few bloggers know is that in real life, WendyB is even more fabulous than she appears in pictures. She is a work of art. As for Lipstick Credits: mine is Chanel Velvet Rouge (discontinued.)
I’m sorry I missed this one. It looks like so much fun! Where is La Belette??
I’m so sad you missed out on the Coco/WendyB photo op – that would have made my day!
Also sadly missing the SW/WB face touching extravaganza (but the hugging almost makes up for it)!
MrB looks like he was having a great time with the gals too
Wow. Looks like you had a blast in LA. I wish you had done the face touching pose.
Ha! I started following Coco on Twitter after you found her and you know what? I adore her!
Leah, unfortunately La Belette’s He-Weasel has been under the weather and she was unable to attend.
Love the dress!
Oh, you bloggers are gorgeous. I only wish that Coco might have joined you.
The ruffles are so nice. You look so pretty love your patterned dress
LOVE the orange traffic cone bags! hehe I can’t believe you saw COCO – how awesome is that !!
Wow, what a fabulous get together, you must also get a picture with Coco before you check out-good luck!!
Looks like great fun…and I hope you track Coco down! Good luck! xxxxxx Have a great weekend! x
You and Sister know how to rock the red lipstick! Looks like great fun was had by all! Jealous, a little.
Wow! Looks like fun! That first top is AMAZING–so right up my alley!!
Wow, you saw Coco and Ice-T in the flesh! Holy cow! I suppose all that’s left now is for you to actually MEET Coco. Then your work here on earth is done.
Looks like a delightful evening. And I am totally coveting that origami top. Is it by commission?
Looks like soooooooo much fun, I love the gown! Coco?!?! I would’ve loved to have seen a picture of you two together (maybe we still will? good luck with that!), but I admire your restraint/respect of her (and Ice-T, love him too)! How lucky you were to get to see her!
I love it when blogger friends have get togethers. I can’t wait to have one of my own. And that gown is so gorgeous!
Soooo much fun!
Wow!

Hiya Wendy! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
You have a really fun blog here. Great pics!
It looks like you had a great time! BTW, the dress looks great on you.
Hi Wendy!
What a fun day! I’m sure it was a riot with all the bloggers giddily chatting over dinner! =)
Love the origami-like top!
what an amazingly cool dinner!
Is it weird that I would be more excited about seeing Ice-T, I have an obsession with L&O and he is stellar in it. Sweet of you to be so considerate of them, but I hope you get that picture.
you MUST GET A PICTURE WITH COCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like a fun time!
I can’t believe that those bags are made from traffic cones. That’s incredibly creative.
Those Kristin Londgren designs are TDF! Will you be wearing any? And what a party; MrB is enjoying his surroundings, I would say!
Love the japanese style shirt and the traffic cone bag! Amazing stuff!
I need an extra session with Igor just to process my grief for missing this social event of the season.
next time just sneak a furtive pic. please.
