… then snagging my Diana heart ring when I found one in her size hiding in my inventory.

Gorgeous client Dana also got a Diana heart ring. As you can see, she had to put it on the second she got the package!

I laughed when she wrote, “If I wear it the other way, it looks abstract or like a butt!”

That reminded me that I’ve been thinking of doing some ass jewelry! Though not necessarily the type I wrote about here.

My designing friend Stacy Lomman also got the Diana heart ring. She was wearing it tonight when we met up with our friend Jen, who has had the ring for years. The finish on metal changes with wear, and it always goes in the opposite direction of its starting state. If you start with a highly polished, shiny ring, the metal dulls with wear. If you start out with a matte, satin finish, the ring gets shiny with wear. The new Diana ring purchased by Stacy is the matte one in this photo. The shiny one is Jen’s.

Every so often, I touch up the polish for my customers. You don’t want to do it obsessively, because you lose a little metal every time you polish, but once in a while is fine.  If you do own any of my jewelry and want a touch up, please email me at wbjewelry at hotmail dot com so I can do it myself. Other jewelers don’t always do it right as a few folks have found out the hard way.

I have one silver Diana left in a rare size 9. Sample size is 6, and that’s all I usually have in stock. Of course, I happily make rings in any size that a customer requests, but a made-to-order ring takes two to four weeks to manufacture.
