I hope you all had a good time ringing in the new year. I had my traditional New Year’s/belated birthday celebration at Balthazar (check out a decade of New Year’s fashions here). I finally wore the Zang Toi dress that I first ogled in Zang’s September 2009 show. It’s a spring dress so I added black opaque tights to make it more winter-y. But taking a serious outfit photo was tough with my peeps. I think they’ve spent too much time on the This Is Photobomb website.

I like this kind of outfit photo! Forget about the fashion bloggers’ traditional pose with its pigeon-toed stance, coy glances away from the camera, pouting and artsy background. Here’s to more outfit-photo photobombers in 2011!

… but this was the first time anyone wandered around with huge bags of confetti. We loved it! (When I got home and took my dress off, a handful of confetti fell out.) This photo sums up the evening:

Happy New Year, Miss B! I knew I could rely on you for some pretty party pics. I saw you guys had a balmy 42 degrees F. last night? WTF? It was minus 24 here, thank you. Have a great 2011 and thanks for the shout out to “Psychotic Secretary” the other day even though I shut it down two years ago.
