Gorgeous blogger Julia, the Thanksgiving Girl, has achieved two Wendy Brandes Jewelry firsts. She’s my first customer in Russia AND she’s the first to get the gold-plated version of my swear rings.
Julia rocks it in Russia.

Gold-plated means that these are the normal silver swear rings with a thin layer of yellow gold on top.A The plated rings are $500 and I do them by special request only, so holla at me at wbjewelry at hotmail dot com if you’re interested. Of course, I’d also be very, very happy to do a swear-ring order in solid gold. If you’re that kind of big spender, I’d forgo my normal adjustable bands and fit each ring to your finger personally.

Meanwhile, my Cleopatra earrings are still being recognized for their cameo in Sex and the City 2. I was amazed when I saw Perez Hilton had them on his fashion blog, Coco Perez, today. Take a look.

They look fabulous in gold! It’s funny, I’ve gotten so used to seeing my silver set, but seeing them in gold makes me feel as if I’m seeing the swear rings for the first time again.

The layer of gold used in proper vermail is generally thicker than that used in standard gold plating. Plus I think a lot of customers would need a definition of vermail, so I would most likely end up saying the pieces were gold-plated sterling silver anyway, just to be clear.
