Remember the wax model of my Cleves Ring? Here’s the finished version in silver. These are just photos I took myself, rather than the professional photos that will eventually appear on my website. In the professional photos, you’ll be able to see that the swans have tiny diamond eyes.
I expect to have the gold version of the ring finished in two weeks. If you’d like more information about the ring, contact me at wbjewelry at hotmail dot com. If you’d like to see the matching necklace, click here. For more on Anne of Cleves, my inspiration, click here.
Oh my gosh, want!
I bet you are really happy with how it turned out, it looks wonderful, now stop being so bloody talented and doing stuff. Lay on the couch awhile will you!

Each time I see this it makes me think of those tunnel of Love boats on the cartoons, and just makes me want to kiss someone. I hope that is its intended effect.

GORGEOUS!
They are lovely, Miss WendyB. It occurs to Miss J what a nice wedding ring this would make, too, with swans mating for life and all.

Pretty, me want…

Sigh. Elegant and lovely. Well done, lady. As always!
I loves it!
Sorry, can’t think of anything more eloquent to say.
Oh Wendy, this is my favorite! It’s absolutely gorgeous. Any word on prices yet? Maybe I can afford some of your sterling this time around…
The connotation of marriage has kind of ruined rings for me.
This comment isn’t actually about this post, although the ring is absolutley lovely. Rather, it is about fish-feet. I was flipping through my copy of Amy Arbus’ book On the Street 1980-1990 (collects the best of her hundreds of street style shots for the Village Voice), and lo, plate 78 – fish feet! And fish legs, actually. As worn by one Deborah Sharpe in Central Park in 1984. Hie thee to the library or order a used copy off of Amazon – worth it for that one shot alone.
wendy, you outdid yourself. these are amazing!
That would look lovely on my dainty finger.
If you want to send me one, I’m quite willing to model it for your blog readers. You needn’t pay me, I’ll just keep the ring. Sound good?
the ring is fabulous!!! i LOVE it!!!! the gold ones will look amazing too, i’m sure 🙂

ah it’s so poetic! it’s a symphony amongst all the trashy birds in chainstores.
WOW. Beautiful.

Thank you, peeps! Glad you like it. I first conceived of it in summer 2006 so it’s taken a long time to see this ring to completion.
Glamaruth, I will check out that book!
