Christina Aguilera has a good attitude about her life in fashion:
“I don’t believe in fashion faux pas. Every look I did was important at the time. When I was in the Lady Marmalade video it was all about being over the top, sexy and playful. The big hair, the make-up, it was so much fun. Would I do that today? Probably not. It was a different time, a different place for me.
“Everybody has an opinion on what I wear, especially about the outfits that were perceived as being very provocative. Some people were really closed-minded and judgmental. Fashion should be fun; lots of people take it way too seriously.”

I know a guy who got The Clap from picking up the Rolling Stone with her on the cover back in her dirrty days. Quite the cautionary tale.
I liked her Drrrty phase too, particularly for 3-7 minutes after midnight.
Strangely I agree with her. Fashion should be fun and we shouldn’t be worried about faux pas.

Dirrty was the moment I sat up and took notice of X-tina. She threw down the gauntlet and said ‘f you all’, very Madonna.
Althought Christina is not one of my fashion icons, I definitely agree that fashion should be fun, it’s a way to express our individuality. It shouldn’t be overanalyzed. Great quote from her!
