I need to thank my gorgeous online friend Marguerite for pointing out the Instagram from Jill Abramson‘s daughter, Cornelia. “Mom’s badass new hobby,” Cornelia wrote as a caption on a picture of Jill in boxing gloves, using the hashtags #girls and #pushy.
This Instagram is giving me life! It also made me finalize the idea I was tossing around last night: I’m starting a silver letter necklace that reads PUSHY. I’ve already got BOSS and BOSSY. PUSHY is the logical next step, right? Hmmm … maybe I also need a necklace that says RIOT so the two could be layered to read PUSHY RIOT per my friend Stef’s highlarious band-name suggestion.
UPDATED: To pre-order PUSHY, click here. Till then, you can see how it will look by browsing my other silver letter necklaces. If you’d like to order PUSHY in 18K gold instead, email me at wbjewelry at hotmail dot com.
UPDATED AGAIN TO ADD: Here is a longer story by the New Yorker’s Ken Auletta about the New York Times and Jill Abramson. A very interesting read!

The rest of Cornelia’s IG feed (she’s a surgeon in training, medical journalist) is pretty awesome, too, recently. As in “Nobody puts baby in a corner” awesome.
This is gonna be good.

Thanks for pointing it out!

I really want a CRANKY necklace. My go to word when I in a bad mood is crankypants, and if it’s really bad major crankypants.

Ha ha! I’d love to do that one!

BADASS! That should be your next one 🙂
PUSHY RIOT is absolutely brilliant!

Pushy Riot is genius. I’m so in love with that.

I though you were going to make boxing glove earrings! I’d wear those on the days when I don’t wear my Girls Boxing (the Bronx) shirt.
