Whenever my designing friend Zang Toi and I do a sale together, we end up buying each others’ wares. Yesterday, Zang bought my heart and bunny stud earrings for the ladies in his office.
I tried on a jacket that I’d admired during the runway show for Zang’s Spring 2013 Bouquet D’Amour collection. It’s pinstriped in the front and printed in the back.
As soon as I put it on, I knew I was going to keep it. I already know when I’m going to wear it too, because Zang declared that it was perfect for his Fall 2014 show in February. I also know that I’m going to wear it like it was worn in Zang’s show: as a mini dress! (Here it is coming on the runway, and here it is going.) I won’t be wearing it with garter-belt tights though. Zang has supplied me with opaque cashmere tights, so I’ll be covered up. Will that make the look “age appropriate“? You’ll have to judge for yourself when you see the photos!
UPDATED TO ADD: Zang has provided the photos from the runway show. Here is the front:

And, of course, MrB is begging me to wear the garter-belt tights! Men.

I love the little booonies. I need to wear them more often.
I agree w/ MrB. You need those stockings.

Yes, wear your bunnies!

Suits you beautifully, no matter what with! “Age-appropriateness” be damned. 🙂

Zang knows by now that I always go back to the things I first liked on the runway.

You should totally go with the garter belt tights. Screw what anyone thinks! You taught me that, Ms. B.
Love that jacket! I really like the double-collar, and the edging of the cuffs. The print on the back makes it really special. Another winner!

I’m definitely going to cave to popular demand and wear garter-belt tights! I’ve been looking for good options. Why are so many one size fits all? Darn! Those are always too tall for me. I once gave a pair of those to a 6′ tall friend and they fit her perfectly — I’m 5’4″! LOL.
