Here’s a really old photo — a Polaroid, in fact — for Throwback Thursday. I had recently turned 14 in this picture from 1982.
As you can tell from the name of my Shih Tzu puppy, my love for the Beatles was in full effect. (Even though Paul was my favorite Beatle, the dog was named Ringo for a white ring around his tail.) That cute critter grew up to be one of the meanest dogs I’ve ever met. The whole family was scared of him till the day he died. Naturally he lived well into his teens. Apparently, only the good dogs die young!
That olive-green sweatshirt with the red and white trim was my favorite top. Check out the bands on just one sleeve. The ’80s were all about asymmetrical fashion.

What an adorable photo. I have one of myself holding a puppy just like that, when I was about ten years old. And I used to write captions on my polaroids. Twins!
