If you’re looking for a meaningful Christmas present (or a belated Hanukkah gift) for a loved one or yourself, I’ve got some fresh jewelry options for you!
For responsibly sourced jewelry that gives back to mining communities in Tanzania and Kenya, check out the ANZA PURE x Wendy Brandes rough-gemstone designs in 18K gold that I created specially for Robert Goodman Jewelers in Zionsville, Indiana. Look how delicious these spessartite garnet studs are!
Of course, you don’t have to be in Indiana to buy these. Bob and his team will be happy to help you from afar if you holla at them. In addition to the earrings, Bob has three of my ANZA PURE necklaces. You know how fashion people are always talking about wearing a “pop of color”? This is what they mean.
Another ANZA PURE x Wendy Brandes piece has landed in Seattle at the ANZA Gems office. This 16″ necklace features neon pink spinel and green grossular garnet.
Along with the necklace, I finally sent along the one-of-a-kind 18K rose gold ring I made for ANZA’s main collection last December, shortly before the world went crazy. The center stone is a rare orange-y pink Padparadscha sapphire weighing 1.54 carats, which is surrounded by cabochon-cut Paraiba tourmaline and diamond accents. Can you blame me for wanting to keep it in New York?
Monica Stephenson, the founder of ANZA Gems, modeled it for the ‘Gram, and now I bet she’ll be reluctant to part with it too.
Speaking of Instagram, if you follow me there, you already know I did a limited revival of my 2017 NASTY necklaces in sterling silver in time for Election Day last month.
For each necklace sold, I donated $50 to efforts to flip the Senate blue.
The Georgia Senate races resulted in a runoff election for both seats. Early voting in Georgia has already started, and Election Day is January 5. If Democratic challengers Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock win, Democrats will gain control of the Senate and end Mitch McConnell’s one-man reign of terror. I’ve got 12 more NASTY necklaces. This time, for each one sold through January 5, I’ll donate $50 to ProGeorgia, a nonprofit that helps grass-roots organizations increase the vote share of historically underrepresented and socially responsible voters in Georgia.
Trust me: You’ll want to be wearing a NASTY necklace on January 20 for the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris (or, as I think of her, “47th President Kamala Harris”). So treat yoself and/or a friend while lending a hand to organizers in Georgia. Doing good while looking good! That’s what it’s all about here.
