My newest YouTube video is a sequel. Part I came out in April, when I confessed that a vintage gold lamé toga by designer Stephen Burrows was a fashion mistake. I don’t make too many of those with vintage, but when I do, it’s a disco doozy.
OG blogger Sheila from Ephemera — an expert on separates — came to my rescue with great styling ideas. In fact, her ideas were so great, I decided the toga would have a better home with her. As a bonus, the change in ownership would make Sheila an official member of my Golden Girls gang.
I already wrote about this in a blog post, but because the toga’s new life started with YouTube, I felt a follow-up video was required. Here’s Part II!

AW! Wendy, I am still grinning ear to ear over this – thank you so much for all your kind words! I’ll link up to you tomorrow, for sure! OMG, my mom will just die, ha ha!
Reading about Stephen Burrows after finding out about him from you actually continued to inspire me! I picked the book “The Battle of Versailles” as my next Book Club pick. In my Book Club, when it’s our turn, we pick our books in secret and then present them. I can’t wait to share this video and our wonderful Burrows toga with my women.
You rock, Wendy – I know you’re about a size 4, so I’m going to keep my eye out for something special for you. Maybe I’ll thrift another Castelbajac, wouldn’t that be cool?

Castelbajac is always welcome here! I’m really excited you picked that book, and I love that you can have a whole presentation around it. Also, good idea to pick the books secretly … that sounds like a lot of fun!

I did a big ol’ linkfest in yesterday’s post, covering some of our mutual fun. Thank you for over a decade of good times, Wendy!
