I’ve written before about the PNC Financial Services annual Christmas Price Index, which tracks current costs of the goods and services that are the gifts given by the “true love” in the song “The 12 Days of Christmas.” The 2018 index, which was released last month, puts the cost of the famous holiday shopping list at $39,094.93, up 1.2% from the previous year — and that doesn’t include ongoing veterinary care and feeding of all of the birds.
You’ll have to shell out $13,125 just for the seven swans a-swimming, and do you even have a body of water to put them in? If you’re a swan lover, allow me to suggest my 18K gold Cleves swan jewelry instead. I’ve got three Cleves designs available on 1stdibs, and they’re my Jewels of the Month for December. There’s a white-diamond ring …
… a black-diamond ring …
… and a stunning onyx necklace with a diamond accent.
I’ve got a video of the necklace so you can get more of a feel for the size.
Of course, if “five golden rings” is your favorite “12 Days” line, you’ve got choices galore! You can browse my entire 1stdibs selection here.
If you’re not familiar with 1stdibs, this video from February captures my enthusiasm for the website and its customer service.
Also, there’s free shipping for the holidays, so check it out!
