I still have photos to share from the Couture jewelry show in Las Vegas at the beginning of the month. Last week, I promised pictures of people wearing my 18K gold Queen of Scots tiara; this week, I’m delivering!
Who says only women can wear tiaras? Not I!
The person who got the most wear out of the tiara was my right-hand woman Eryn, who wore it all day for two days straight.
Tiara Eryn was an Eryn I had never met before. She was like a combination of the world’s most charming saleswoman; the fearsome boss of us all; and the type of queen who is NOT AT ALL amused. There was definitely some kind of Lord of the Rings “One tiara to rule them all” thing happening. I’m not sure if this surge of tiara power means I should never let her wear the piece again … or encourage her to wear it all the time.
She did take off the tiara to do a little gambling with our photographer friend Simon Martner. I’d played poker maybe five times before, so that made me the expert among us. We basically broke even at the table — losing some, winning some, and calling it quits when we got within $5 of our original investment.
I didn’t even lose my traditional $20 in the poker machine, even though I tried my best.
Not losing is like winning in Vegas!
