This week’s YouTube video is about one of my favorite New York-based designers of the 1990s: Todd Oldham. It gives you some history about Todd as well as a tour of my little collection of Todd Oldham pieces.
In the video, I’m wearing a Spring 1996 Todd Oldham dress that I got on eBay. Here’s the full-length view, from my gorgeous friend Amanda’s wedding in 2015.
It just hit me that this video was posted a little over a year after I wrote about Todd for the first time. The post I published on Sept. 22, 2007, mentioned a position that Oldham had gotten at Old Navy, and then mused about runway art versus commerce.
Speaking of commerce, I’m totally serious about the deal I propose in the video. Todd, if you read this and you’ve got the silver t-shirt of my dreams, I’ll trade you my pink jacket with the elbow cutouts!
Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don’t miss the next video.

Another fun and interesting video, Wendy! I love your Oldham skirt collection – my closet must be like yours, with only funky colourful items! If I ever spot the silver shirt, I’ll get it for you! You never know!

OMG, seriously! I have a good vibe that you might find it now!

I have such positive feelings about Todd Oldham designs. Really enjoyed this. On another note, have you watched any Safiya Nygaard videos on youtube? She’s doing a really interesting thing reviewing odd fast fashion and also history videos. It’s aimed (in my opinion) at younger generations but in an intelligent way. Not the over the top youtube thing that happens. Anyway, she definitely reminds me of you based on subject matter. Maybe check it out.

Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll look her up ASAP!
