I was inspired to do this week’s YouTube video about jewelry cleaning and repairs because customers frequently bring other designers’ fine jewelry to me, desperate for help. Accordingly, I’ve got advice for jewelry customers and other designers/retailers.
Remember: If you are my customer, please bring (or mail) your Wendy Brandes jewelry back to me if you have any issues whatsoever. I will always take care of you, and I can’t guarantee that a local jeweler will do a good job on my work. Fees vary. Simple cleaning/polishing is usually free of charge. The same for periodic tune-ups for mechanical jewelry. If you have extensive damage because you ran over your ring with your car — well, that will cost you! But any charges will be confirmed with and approved by you before the work is begun.
