This week’s YouTube video is about the general concept behind my wedding collection and the three tiers of jewelry available: fully custom, one-of-a-kind inventory, and customizable semi-mount settings.
While I’m on the topic, I’ll share some of the early sketches of the snake tiara. These weren’t the very first ones! It took quite a few tries to get to this.
Then I did a close-up of the snake.
Before I created the piece in 18K gold, I made a brass model to test it out. You don’t want to use that much gold and find that you’ve made a mistake!
I balanced the brass model on my leg and gently set the South Sea pearl down on it to see if it would work, size-wise.
Eventually it all came together in gold …
… and adorned the bride on her big day.
