Woot! We’ve got the official photos of our beautiful bride, Alyssa Brownell, wearing my 18K gold snake tiara as her “something borrowed” at her wedding last month in Manhattan. These were taken by my own wedding photographer, Bill Fredericks, for Heathwood Photography.

In addition to the tiara, Alyssa wore my Cleves swan earrings in 18K yellow gold, diamonds, and onyx. Her hairstyle was created by my dear friend Julie Matos of Warren-Tricomi, who sewed the tiara into Alyssa’s hair for maximum security.

Right after I bought the pearl to set in the tiara, I realized I hadn’t asked Alyssa if her wedding gown was a warm white or a cool white. I sent an urgent inquiry and mentally prepared myself to buy a second pearl, but my cool white pearl and Alyssa’s cool white Vera Wang dress turned out to be a perfect match. I still need to find a photo of Alyssa that shows the entire black-bow accent on the gown, but even from the front you can see how it took her look to the next level. In fact, that bow provided design direction for the tiara because I knew Alyssa wasn’t going to shy away from a statement piece.

I didn’t leave out Robert, the handsome groom, when I was handing out jewelry. He was wearing my Medici cufflinks. They went well with the look of adoration on his face.

One more loaner was my right-hand woman, Eryn Patton, who was Alyssa’s maid of honor. Props to Alyssa for picking out a bridesmaid’s dress that is truly re-wearable: Eryn wore it one week later to the Women’s Jewelry Association Awards for Excellence.

The handsome fella escorting Eryn down the aisle is Donnie, Eryn’s fiance and the groom’s best man. They’re getting in a little practice for their own wedding next month.
Anyway, it’s fun to look at the jewelry and dresses, but this is what is really important — true love!
