I skipped last week’s big jewelry trade shows in Las Vegas because I have a new plan for working with retailers — one that I will reveal soon. The decision made sense from a business perspective, but personally, I missed seeing the group of jewelry-industry women known as the Vegas Gems. … and last year.
I attended the Vegas shows for my first three years as a speaker and/or blogger. Last year was the first time I exhibited, so that was even more exciting and exhausting than usual. One bit of excitement that Eryn and I could have done without was temporarily losing my 18K gold full-finger barbed-wire ring on the gold carpeting near our display case. We did find the whole situation hysterically funny after we found the ring, so we re-enacted our desperate search on video, right down to me literally rolling on the floor laughing.
This year, it was good to know I was represented by Vegas Gem Monica Stephenson, who was there wearing the award-winning ring I designed for her ANZA Gems venture. Thank you to My Story Fine Jewelry for taking this stunning photo of the two-finger ring.
I never get tired of seeing photos of this ring … and I can hardly wait to debut my next ANZA design this summer! Stay tuned.
