Not only is the amethyst in this ring supersize, it’s super-customized! I had the 27.64-carat cabochon specially cut to fit the setting I’d already designed. Most jewelers work the other way, but I’ve got to be me.
It was also exciting to see the two-finger ring I created for ANZA Gems on the cover of Prism, the magazine of the American Gem Trade Association. Monica Stephenson, the founder of ANZA, was wearing the ring when she got her copy.
The lovely lady modeling the ring on the cover is actress Holly Robinson Peete. Thanks to AGTA and Holly for the fabulous photo!
