There were lots of pretty looks at tonight’s Critics’ Choice Awards in Santa Monica, Calif. I kept thinking, “I’d wear that,” as I looked at the fashions. For instance, the striped Tracy Reese dress worn by Constance Zimmer of UnREAL is definitely one I’d gravitate to in a store.
But nothing on the blue carpet gave me that “so wrong it’s right” feeling that I need in order to bestow my coveted Best Dressed/Wear What You Want combo award, so the award goes to … no one.
Instead, I will give a special shout-out to Judith Light of Transparent, who knows how to pose with fierceness …
… and serve up FACE for days.
Excellent earrings too! I’m still looking for fashion credits.
I must admit that last week, I also noticed Judith doing serious WERQ in a white pantsuit at the Golden Globes.
I totally meant to comment on Judith’s Golden Globes look, but I forgot. Clearly, Judith wasn’t having my neglect and came back to teach me a lesson. Or did she? Look at this tweet.

Judith isn’t wearing a white pantsuit tonight. Did the Critics’ Choice event really take place?! Or is it a dream we all had together?

I’m such a fan of black & white stripes, but I’m really disappointed in Tracy Reese’s dress. I know I’m unusually picky, but it’s a bad design flaw to do traditional darts with diagonal stripes, on a bodice. Ruins the lines completely!
Judith Light looks great. I just started watching Transparent and her character is soo good!
