Thanks to gorgeous blogger Vyque of Fasshonaburu for directing my attention to Rihanna’s dark green lipstick at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday. Vyque knows about my recent passion for crazy-colored lipstick.
I loved Rihanna’s look from head to toe.
I haven’t read anything yet about what brand the lipstick was, but if you want to get Rihanna’s look, the Huffington Post article I wrote in March has links to a number of cool indie companies that can provide you with the green — or blue, black, purple, yellow, orange, brown, grey, gold or silver — lipstick of your dreams.

So far, my favorite green is a lighter shade than Rihanna’s. It’s called Green Envy by Manic Panic.
I should note that, unlike Rihanna, so far I’ve avoided getting lipstick on my tongue!
While I was searching for the iHeartRadio photos from this week, I was pleased to come across a lot of nice shots that I hadn’t seen before from the iHeartRadio Music Festival in 2012, when Rihanna wore my Mud Flap Jill necklace. This is an especially good one.
My Mud Flap Jill trucker girl pendant with ruby nipples is still available in 18K yellow gold like Rihanna’s and in silver.
You can see other photos of the Mud Flap Jill on me and my gorgeous customers and read about the necklace’s inspiration in this post from 2011.
In other celebrity news, actor and longtime bachelor George Clooney has become engaged to Amal Alamuddin, a 36-year-old human-rights lawyer. Having been annoyed this week to see my eclectic 25-year career boiled down to ” … jewelry designer and the wife of Paul Steiger, ex- Wall Street Journal managing editor and the founder of ProPublica,” I rejoiced at the way Slate wrote up the Clooney-Alamuddin story. After citing several of Alamuddin’s achievements, as listed on her law firm’s website, Slate noted:
“Alamuddin, born in Beirut, once worked for Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor when Sotomayor was a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals.
Her husband-to-be is an American actor and director who played ‘Kip Howard’ on the television mystery program Murder, She Wrote.”
Oh, Slate, you are giving me life!
