MrB and I had Valentine’s Day dinner at Balthazar last week. I had surprised him earlier by sending roses to his office. After all, does a bouquet even EXIST if your colleagues don’t see it?
I have a Moschino heart dress that I like to wear on Valentine’s Day, but this year, I wasn’t in the mood for dressing up. I went for my more casual backup: my Gemma Kahng leather vest with a heart on the back.

At the restaurant.
Here’s the full outfit. If you look closely, you can see the big heart-shaped buttons on the front of the vest.
What Wendy Wore
Vest: Vintage Gemma Kahng (possibly acquired from eBay in 2009.)
Tank: Splendid
Jeggings: J Brand (2010? 2011?)
Boots: Jil Sander (pre-2005)
Purse: Saint Laurent (2013)
Multitasking MrB took the photo while hanging onto my heavy coat. I think my sleevelessness contrasts nicely with the pile of snow in back of me, no?
Love sleeveless with snow. And the perfect vest for Valentine’s Day. Hope it was a glorious celebration.
That leather vest is fab! And I like the idea that a bouquet doesn’t exist if it’s not seen by others (not sure I like the Bad Romance security word though – eek!)
Love. Did you have fries with that outfit?
LOL!
When you look great in anything you put on, there’s no need for dressing up. Of course a little vest like this adds a teensy extra punch…
I couldn’t resist the vest!
LOVE the vest. The buttons are the cutest part. Flowers are definitely meant to be shown off, and so are our loved ones! Hope you had a good time out with Mr. B.
Gotta love a good button.
This outfit is stunning! If a leather vest is your version of casual, I’ve got some serious styling in my wardrobe to do!
Gorgeous, Wendy!
