What a horrible week it has been. Young innocent children’s lives taken by violence.
I know. Kristof’s NY Times column today has this quote from a facebook follower: “it is more difficult to adopt a pet than it is to buy a gun.”
Seriously, one time a pound wouldn’t let my friend adopt a cat because she was a single woman living in a small apartment in NYC. In other words, the kind of person who stereotypically adopts a cat! She had to buy one from a pet store instead.
What I love best about you (besides your great style, good looks and talent) is that you have substance. Thank you for acknowledging this tragedy in such an eloquent and succinct way. My thoughts and prayers are with the community that is affected by this terrible loss.
