October — aka National Breast Cancer Awareness month, aka The Month That Ruins the Color Pink for Me by Associating It With Disease and Death — is over, but that doesn’t mean we should stop obsessing about the health of our boobs. As we all know, breast self-examinations are a great idea … or not that necessary. Either way, Courtney Love cares about our health, which is why she got topless at a recent concert in Brazil to remind us to perform a monthly self-exam.

Also I have just watched 4 seasons of Friday Night Lights and I still don’t understand American football.
I can’t weigh in too much on the Breast Cancer awareness, I’ve been rather blessed not to be directly affected in my or my family’s health…
But I do need to comment on the unfortunate thing that is football pants. *shudder*

yeah i think the NFL has been doing the pink accessories in October for a few years now. i think it’s cute and shows another (more positive) side of the sport.
My immediate thought was that they could help women in other, more meaningful ways regarding their personal behaviors, but I won’t get myself in trouble by saying “all athletes do such-and-such bad shit.” I’ll just think it privately.
The only reason I know who Reggie Bush is is because of Kim Kardashian, too. I care not a whit about the NFL, or the Kardashians, but given the choice, I choose K.

Go Courtney! I got a sudden surge in traffic when Demi and Ashton’s divorce was announced for a post I’d done last year on her movies. Imagine how many disappointed Internet surfers there are now.
