Way back in June, I was delighted by musician Lenny Kravitz’s so-wrong-it’s-right, retro, mobile-phone handset.
When I was in Paris last month, I saw the handsets by Native Union at Colette. They come in a range of colors and cost 35 euros, including VAT (approx. $50).
You can also buy the handset from Amazon for only $30, but would it still have Lenny’s je ne sais quoi if it came from such a prosaic place? I think not! Overpaying at the chic French store is the only way to go.

I laughed out loud when I saw that photo… it is possible to take this “hipster” thing too far!

Ahh! I love it. Plus those are the type of phones that you can hold up with your shoulder. These teeny little mobiles are hard to do that with.

Seriously fun place to waste a lot of money (Paris and Colette). The cool cache of Colette is just so overwhelming I magically part with my money. Likewise, the cool cache of Mr. Kravtiz, makes me swoon like a love crazed teen. He is so damn hot.

OK, so we have one of those, ciurtesy of my MIL. It is red tartan and reminds me of Linda Evangelista’s Highland Fling spread in Vogue . . .
Miss Cavendish says
Yes, I can spell “courtesy,” but my iPad cannot. Neither can my MD’s office, which posts signs that ask patients to turn off their cell phones as a curtsey to others. Veddy royal, I say.

Wendy, that phone is just too cool. I guess it is true that everything old is new again.
Mary says
Forget the phone, he is so hot!

It’s all about attitude. Plus, it protects your phone from your makeup!

I like this idea, probably more comfortable for sound traveling into the ear canal

Not very portable. My purse already weighs a ton!
