Eilene Zimmerman interviewed me about the jewelry biz for the latest issue of Crain’s New York Business. You can read the story here and leave Eilene a nice comment. The delightful Buck Ennis took my picture for the article. I’m not very comfortable in front of the camera unless I’m doing the WendyB pose, so this artistic photo is a tribute to his mad skillz.

By Buck Ennis for Crain's.
To get this picture, I had to slither between a wall and a glass table, then crouch down while remaining upright. I took off my shoes to make it possible. Here’s how it looked behind the scenes.
I have a whole new appreciation for professional models after this experience. Holding a pose ain’t easy!
But what a great picture!
Thanks! The photographer was very creative.
Work those calf muscles, Wendy! No pain no gain yeah!
That is a pretty awesome photo, though. With your HuffPo posts and interviews as of late, are you making a return to journalism in some way?
Making sure I don’t get too rusty!
As the Boy Scouts always say, Be Prepared. 😉
Posing is so not easy, what a great shot they got.
Wendy I love this photo… worth every inch of pain.. as it will last forever 🙂 xx
It is a fabulous picture indeed, you look gorgeous too!
The photograph is gorgeous – perhaps the photographer will let you use it as the profile pic on your blog?
Congrats girl….you look fantastic too!!!
Well worth the effort – that’s a great shot!
Well, you made it look easy, anyhow! You look superb.
Your hair is getting long!
Werq it Wendy!! You made it look easy
CONGRATS!
Such a fresh photo!
It really is a great shot though!
And congrats on things picking up again!
The photographer may be creative but the smile is 100% you! Congratulations on the interview — I enjoyed it.
That shot is so cool!
Hi my dear-you look totally amazing, an awesome and unique photo and congratulations on the interview too xxx
Congrats on the interview. I love the second picture, it’s cute and natural.
It’s a wonderful shot ..
The things a gal’s gotta do for fame! Way to pull it off, WendyB- great pic surrounded by your jewels.
It sucks, doesn’t it? I was always awful at those kind of shoots, could never “smile with my eyes!” But your shot is fantastic, great composition and he captured your gorgeous smile.
I *LOVE* your designs, so a totally custom wedding ring from you would be fantastic. Let me talk it over with Hubby! =D It would be an absolutely treasured item in my jewelry box! Will be in touch.
Wow who knew it took so much effort. . especially when you’re smiling so brightly!
I have a whole new appreciation for photography magic! Stunning photo, less-than-glam behind the scenes shot. You do look beautiful in both pics though–it’s the signature WendyB smile. 🙂
Awesome picture! Elegant yet original.
It’s an awesome photo and I love how you included the behind the scenes shot, who knew the glass table was so low in real life?

You are so hitting the big time, Wendy! You look amazing (duh, of course you do!).
That pic is awesome!! So creative.
You look like a pro to me! What an absolutely gorgeous photo!
I love the pics! You look ravishing as always. And of course you couldn’t do the Wendy B. traditional pose or you’d have to charge Crain’s a copyright fee, no? 🙂
I also have a whole new appreciation for models, wow that is incredible. you look amazing!!!
OMG, when I lived in Chicago I was obsessed with Crain’s! (They have one there too). It was a dream of mine to some day be in it. Congratulations, Wendy!
