While going through some files last week, I found this note that my gorgeous friend Phil wrote in the early ’90s. He was going on vacation and I had agreed to pick up his mail for him. He slyly threw in some other chores too.

I saved this because I thought it was so cute. Also, I had a feeling that nearly 20 years after receiving this note, I would would run out of ideas for blog posts and need to use it.
By the way, have you joined my Facebook fan page yet? If not, put it on your to-do list.
I ALWAYS talk to my TV! Or at least, the people on it. “LEARN HOW TO SMILE WITH YOUR EYES GIRL! YOU WILL NEVER GET TYRA’S APPROVAL!”
LOL. Tub groutery.
How were your conversations with the television? =)
Thank you for commenting on my blog.
I ADORE your jewlery, Just the other day I spent a good hour on your website drolling over everything and mentally making a wish list of all the things I would get if I could afford it (and not living off pennies, yes instant noodles is a good meal for me, hehe). Keep up the FANTASTIC work and I will be forever keeping an eye on all your beautiful designs.
I also love finding notes and letters from the past. That’s why I like keeping them so in years to come I can look back a smile just like you have done.

shine toaster .. haha!
Did he really have piranhas? Yoiks!
talk to the tv! LOL!
You know, nothing inspires healthy eating like a polished toaster. When mine is nice and shiny, only a slice of whole wheat bread will do. If I let it get tarnished, it’s all downhill and it’s pop tarts 24/7!
Very Cute…I would have saved it too. Every time I make a grocery list, my husband adds at the bottom…EXTRA LARGE CONDOMS!!
Piranhas…? Really?
When you get done with his list would you come over and talk to my TV.
Sal, and Oh Lady E — no mean fish! He was kidding.
Jill, very funny!
Hi there-LOL, if ever there was a reason to do a post, you’ve found a great subject matter after 20 years!!
Oh I love this! I think everyone talks to the TV when no ones around!
Also seeing that guy with all the jeans wrapped around his ankles must have been a bit of a shock. I can’t belive the audacity of some!
Now that friend’s a keeper! 🙂
I often shout at my TV, the poor thing, your list is fun
Very cute!
xoxox,

Miss J wishes there were a picture of Brutus, the Chihuahua.
i love making lists hahha
this is such a funny list! loved the bit about the killer chihuahua and piranhas.
I used to talk to my TV all the time till it called me a bitch one day and hurt my feelings. Now we aren’t on speaking terms.
I can’t imagine you shining a toaster.
LOL – killer chihuahua!
I love that you held onto this! It’s the little things that count.
haha its so cute! This week I’m just totally going to be following to-do lists!
Yup. Makes for a great blog post. When I was younger my best friend and I used to write letters to our older self. I wrote one to my 16 year old self when I was 13 that had confessions of love for my current “boyfriend” at the time who turned out to not be Mr. Right.
wendyrellie, wendyrellie – clean wendyrellie…(singing satire is so hard to do via blogging comments)
“Become a fan”…DONE! 😉
