After I posted on the recent unemployment of designer Todd “La-Z-Boy” Oldham, gorgeous blogger Miss Cavendish mentioned she was looking for an early ’90s Vogue cover that showed Todd’s Western look. I didn’t track down the photo in question, but I did take a picture of my own Western-style Todd jacket.
Meanwhile, gorgeous blogger Diabolina of My Super Sweet Fashion Diary put together quite a collage of black and pink outfits in a recent post. So for her I have a shiny, hot pink Todd jacket to ogle.
As you can see, the elbows are cut out of the sleeves. My elbows are definitely not my pride and joy, unless I urgently need some sandpaper. Then they come in handy. So this jacket requires a long sleeved shirt under it at all times. I will make sure it is black, to impress Miss D.
UPDATED TO ADD: One more bit of blogger news! Gorgeous Shannon of A Beautiful Dream has received her Little Woolf necklace. See the photos here. She named her Woolf and I encourage everyone to do so. Also, I can’t believe the package got to Australia faster than deliveries normally make it to Canada. What’s that about?

I don’t think I have ever seen an elbow-less jacket before.

I loved this look when I first saw it and my affection endures! Thanks so much for the photo . . . BTW, are the roses embroidered? I’m pretty sure they are, but can’t quite see/remember . . .

Those T.La-Z.O.s are great. I think I might be in love with the elbow-less jacket. I wonder what other “-less” items you could wear with that? I’ll let you think about it for awhile.

Whose elbows are their pride and joy? Not mine! However, I do like the thought that the pink was designed expressly to celebrate this unsung body part, in all its petty troubles and lack of charm.

The pink jacket’s too awesome. 🙂
As for the Canada-bound deliveries, I can only point the finger at Canada Post. I think they were on the verge of a strike around the time you mailed me my squirrel necklace!

Elbow less is incredible – yep not sure about my pointy things peeking through much either!

Fabulous!! And where are you hiding today?? Are you out wearing vintage and having fun?
KD says
I have very weird elbows, so, weirdly, I would love to flaunt my elbows with that jacket! Both jackets are stellar.

Elbowless sleeves?! Inspired. Kinda the opposite of leather patches on your old geography teachers sweater.
I recommend rubbing your elbows on a half-lemon wedge every night. I learnt that from Sixteen Candles, so it must be true.

Can I steal those jackets? They’re awesome. Oh, you should buy one of those Korean shower cloths (with a slightly rough exterior) that scrub off dead skin. Korean women scrub off layers of dead skin every week and it works like magic. My grandma is 90 years old and her skin feels like a baby’s butt. No joke.
But I do love the idea of black peeking out from those too-adorable holes.

elbowless jackets=my new favorite!
