My gorgeous father, GeorgeB, wants to tell you about his charming friend Mike, who not only voted for me in the Weblog Awards all the way from China, but also said that my smile is “so sunshine.”
In a comment left on a previous post, GeorgeB said:
“I met Mike on a cruise down the Yangtze River in June 2006. He is a very pleasant person and he told me about his family and goals. He has 2 children – a daughter about 13 and a son about 7. His wife was a school teacher but lost her job when the second child was born. His goals include building a house with enough room for his parents, who lived in a small village about 10 hours away. In his New Year email he wrote that the house has been built and that they will live together this year. We had a great time in China and Mike was a big part of it.”
Here’s a picture of Mike Sunshine cruising the Yangtze with my gorgeous mother BarbaraB.
I love this, WendyB! How tiny the earth really is, when you get right down to it. And I adore what Mike had to say about voting for you. Your mother is truly gorgeous. In fact, your dad’s pretty good looking himself. You and your sister came from fine stock, that’s all I have to say.
Love your red, white and blue post!
He is right your smile IS so sunshine!
Isn’t it great when you meet a person when you least expect it that ends up being as important to your life, like your parents with Mike?
Thnks for sharing this story. 🙂
You really look like your mom!
Hi there-what a lovely picture, China would be an awesome place to visit.

This post was just as sunshine as your smile. And oh my goodness, I can’t get over the family resemblance between you and your mother–you both have lovely eyes, the same smile and the same flawless complexion. 🙂

Your smile is indeed sunshine.
Mike hit the nail on the head. Your smile is pure giddy warmth and charm. Lucky! I bet you can get away with all kinds of deviant behavior just by flashing that grin.
