Two wise women have followed my command to kneel before Wendy Brandes and have respectfully offered their written tributes.

Gorgeous blogger Sheila of Ephemera has recognized my triumphs in the Drysdale Award categories for big ego and bad language, naming me The Most Foul-Mouthed Self-Promoting Funny Woman Ever. Kathy “Knock the Dicks Out of Your Mouth” Griffin is going to be jealous.

Meanwhile, for the second anniversary of my 39th birthday, gorgeous triple-threat (friend-client-blogger) Angela composed this fabulous poem:

We gather together
on her 39th
to honor she who is
one-of-a-kindth.
In festive attire we salute
one whose humor is most astute.
She generously bestows and bejewels
sharing wit and wisdom without
being cruel.
Always dressed with style and skulls,
her sartorial sense is never dull.
Many pleasures we would forgo
if only to watch Miss Wendy pogo.

Angela’s shouted recitation of her poem (it was noisy!) to a table of New Year’s Eve/birthday party guests was a highlight of last night. (A previous example of Angela’s creativity is here.) I hope I didn’t disappoint anyone last night with my lack of pogoing, but here’s how it looked when I did it last year.

UPDATED TO ADD: I’ve already watched the Kathy Griffin clip about 30 times. It’s the new “J.Lo, Defend Your Outfit” in my life. Here’s the original one:
