Continuing my thoughts from a week ago….
Gold is down below $800 an ounce (yay!) and headed for a big weekly loss. Naturally, I haven’t heard from any would-be gold investors today, because THIS would be the time to buy gold. I only hear from them when gold is at a high.
Speaking of investing, Warren Buffett has a good article in the New York Times in which he says, “A simple rule dictates my buying: Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful.”

Mr Buffett will shortly own just about everything in the entire world – the benefits of being super, extra, astoundingly liquid when the markets are plummeting like this. His advice is worth hearing!

I’ve been loving your economic commentary as of late. Buffett is such decent man. His interview on Charlie Rose recently was really honest and refreshing. A friend of mine just lost the retirement plan her father had set up for her a loooong time ago. He got scared and sold low. I feel sooo terrible for her! Ladies, watch your own money!

Warren rules- I would like to read the new biography out on him. In it, he is quoted as saying “if a 3 yer old won’t eat it, I won’t eat it” and so he eats alot at Olive Garden-that was so surprising to hear.

smart advice, if i had an extra $$ around i’d be buying up some stocks.
