Look very, very closely at this picture of gorgeous singer/songwriter Suzanne Vega. She’s wearing my ruby Lotus Flower Necklace. I swear! It’s at the bottom of the bunch of little charms she’s wearing.
Suzanne was performing in Brooklyn last week. Here she is on stage, wearing my Lotus Flower Necklace. I swear it’s there!
Suzanne attended Barnard College at Columbia University. A neighborhood restaurant was the setting of her hit song, Tom’s Diner (the name of the place is actually Tom’s Restaurant). The same diner went on to appear as Monk’s on Seinfeld.
I went to Columbia College, right across the street from Barnard. I had many late-night plates of French fries at Tom’s.
yep I knew that right away when I saw the picture~ well.. when I have lots and lots of money I should be able to wear your designs, wendyB. 🙂

Hey, thats most definitely yours!! It looks so lovely too!!
Um, I love Suzanne Vega. I saw her when I was 15 in Cardiff (I was living in Somerset at the time) and I was just listening to Gypsy last night. I think she’s awesome. So it doesn’t surprise me she has your necklace…
“Suzanne Vega wears my Lotus Necklace” is definitely on the short list of phrases I will probably never say in my life.
Very cool! I like Suzanne Vega, and these are great pictures of her.
It looks beautiful on her! I know that place. 😉
I can definitely tell it’s your necklace!
Congratulations, that’s VERY cool!
I hope she paid full price—those celebrities can be cheeky with wanting the five finger discount.
Really, the necklace is one of my favorites and it looks lovely on her.
wonder what time it is where you are… as I happen to be the first one to comment here and you happen to be the first one to comment on mine!
🙂
oh I’m glad I did okay with those pop pants. I was a little worried that I went too crazy with those pants. 🙂
I was at the concert and saw it on her, the ruby shone on stage.. it was gorgeous..
I used to live on the same block as Tom’s Restaurant and would always kind of hum “do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do” when I walked by. I know, cheesy!
Fantastic!
I love that diner, too . . .
xoxox,

How cool, congrats! You are such an amazing talented lady.
You are a fan of someone who’s a fan of your jewellery. How weirdly cool is that?
As it happens, MIss J has a magnifying glass at her desk. Fortunately, it wasn’t needed. The Lotus necklace looks fabulous, darling.
Suzanne Vega is so great and how cool is it that she’s wearing your necklace?!
wow thats awesome! congrats!
Definitely the lotus Flower necklace is giving her lots of serenity, because she looks wonderful! I love her voice.
I’m with songy ref beign able to buy but I think you should phone SV’s PR and ask if she is wearing it – I peered really really hard. The neckalce looked beautiful as does all your jewellery.
Cool!
You just sent me down memory lane. I’ll be thinking of “Luka” for the next hour at least.
wow so exciting to see your creations on someone you admire! 🙂
EEEKS! yay!!!
you are so big time. ugh, i seriosly gotta step it up already with my so called life 😉
Congratulations! That is a lovely necklace, but now I am strangely craving french fries…
Aaaaah seeeeez it. Woooooooowza. Sorry about the ridiculous number of vowels in that.
It’s purty. When I get a job, I am going to gift myself something from your line. Yeah.
I see it! And I think that that’s a pretty way to wear it, as a group of charms (preferably WendyB charms).
I love that necklace 😀 But I’ve never seen the sidewalk outside Tom’s look that clean!
ROCK. I adore that woman. She can do no wrong, if you ask me. And clearly, she has fabulous taste in adornments!
Yay! Love the Barnard connection.
Oooooo I love that necklace. I need one of those to get that sensitive, poetic, folky, rock girl look. Well, so I can fake that look anyway.
she knows what’s good! 🙂 congrats, dear wendy!
I’m a big fan of both of you.
I’m a big fan of both of you.
That’s so freakin’ AWESOME!
She looks even prettier because of your necklace there Wendy!
Tres cool she radiates pure chic – congrats!
Beautfil, I love it!
I love Suzanne Vega, how cool this is.
Congrats!!!
xx
Hey what’s the deal with Wendy Brandes having photos of our hangout on her blog?
That “left of center” is a hell of a tune, which makes me wonder why I never picked up an album of hers. Probably because she wasn’t in the Dead Milkmen, and my childhood was already devoted to them.
Congrats! The necklace is gorgeous! Oh and the restaurant…how I miss those days!!!
no way! columbia? you know the cathedral of st john the divine? i go to school at the school there! i also eat at tom’s all the time… oh and the necklace is lovely. i seriously wish i could afford a piece of your jewelry! it’s definitely worth the price, though =D
