Today’s my lucky day. There is a “quality control technician” job opening at Cadbury. But does “organoleptic testing” mean “eating candy”? Because I could do that. Here’s the description:
Provide laboratory technical support for all product preparation and production areas, with respect to the physical, chemical, and organoleptic testing of raw, packaging, and finished product. Will assure reliable, timely, and effective audits of pertinent production processes, and support Best Practice On Line Quality through in process audits, technical guidance, and shop floor hands on training. Audit to assure materials and finished products conform to specification, and/or meet consumer expectation. Lead and conduct in- process audits to insure that all managers and employees are in conformance to the company quality management system and relevant work standards to ensure that all activities meet internal, customer, and regulatory procedures and standards.

I might as well get paid for it.
UPDATED TO ADD: Here’s the dress I mention in the Eye4Style interview.
Organoleptic – sounds like it could involve eating, doesn’t it. If you tasted chocolate for a living would you grow to hate it over time?
If the real job description is to eat the hell out of some chocolate, I will challenge you for that gig.
Hi there-thats a fabulous interview-she did you proud!! Also, I think you would get bored with the chocolate job-after eating it and testing it, I suppose theres not too much else to do-you’re too creative and skillful for this-eat choccies as a hobby, its lots more fun!! have a great weekend!
My friends dad works at Cadbury, they get free chocolate!
mmmm I love chocolate TOO MUCHHH
XXX
the ring is beautiful..ahhh.
that sounds like a fun job but must agree with you I don’t know how good it will be for our teeth and our waistline.
Love it! I’d want to test the caramel ones only though. But then, I fear I would grow sick of them and not enjoy them as much anymore. Best stick to marketing and crafting, then…
I love Cadbury’s. I could definitely see myself tasting the quality of the chocolate.
If you are giving up the tasting job then I would love to take the job over!
Getting paid to eat chocolate? I could do that!
Yummy!!! Do you like Hershey’s? I think Cadbury’s is better in general, but nobody beats Hershey’s for a quick stress-relieving scoff after school. I say this because you need to eat Cadbury’s slowly, but you can easily gobble down a Hershey’s in a second. Well, I can at any rate.
if i worked in the candy industry, i would need to go up a few sizes and i couldn’t bear to part with my jeans collection
“and organoleptic testing of raw, packaging, and finished product.”
I don’t know, I’m not so sure I’d want to taste test the wrapper…
Wendy, we could do job sharing and split the organoleptic tasks. Huh?
O MY GOD THAT RING! and omygod really one a DAY????
ahhhh… the joy of the cadbury chocolate! ;o) i love love love the ring that Sharon rose had on in her blog.so just had to swing by! keep up the stunning, unique designing! that said, where does a stylish girl get her mitts on some of your rocking designs?

Marian
Cadbury’s is my favorite choc bar ever. Especially the one with almonds….??? Hmmmm…!!!!
I am so with you on the Cadbury job.
Congratulations on the Must Read interview…I swear as soon as I can afford to I will own a WB original too!
Organoleptic, it sounds dangerous, but they must need someone to test their bars. Whoever that is truly a lucky human being.
next time you come to the uk you should come to the town where i live where the factory is aka cadbury world! their tour is super fabulous
Selina, I will! You’ll have to join me on the tour.
House of Style, check out my website at http://www.wendybrandes.com. Then email me at wbjewelry at hotmail dot com and tell me you want the blogger discount. Of course, if you’re in LA, you can go see everything in person at a store called Roseark.
Fab interview… MIss J enjoys hearing how WendyB’s career evolved. Miss Wendy’s Diana ring looks so perfect on her graceful fingers.
Perhaps Miss Wendy would like to job-share the Cadbury position with Miss Janey?
love love love the interview dress you mentioned!!!
Oooooh that is my dream job. Well, if all fails in fashion, a girl’s gonna need something to cheer her up!
You’re a hot property today! That was a great interview.
I hope you don’t land the Cadbury’s job, because I already applied for it.
the job description is muy boring-o! who knew words could make that job SOOO lame?!
I commented on Sharon Rose’s blog to see if we should start a Diana fan club….
People that work at such places always say that after a while you don’t care for chocolate tasting anymore, I say they are all DAMNED LIARS.
Sounds like a great job!!!
I love their chocolate!!
Sounds like a great job!!!
I love their chocolate!!
*sigh* – that’s my dream job. I am SO qualified for it.
The happiest day of my adolescence was the day I visited the Cadbury factory near Oxford during my summer abroad in high school. Unfortunately, I don’t remember anything about it because right after the tour, I bought three packs of Cadbury easter eggs and proceeded to eat myself into a coma. It was worth it, though!
Don’t give up the day job our fingers need your rings not chocolate cadbury fingers!
This made me so hungry!
Mmm I want chocolate now! My boyfriends uncle worked for them for 15 years, so he got all the chocolate he wanted!
A beautiful ring, indeed. I’m going to be on the look-out for the candy eating job, although I don’t think it’s conducive to my attempt at having less of me to carry around 🙂
Love your blog, particularly your conversation with your sister, LOL!
Have a great week.
