My site is down. I did a security upgrade to it, and the charming fuckers at GoDaddy didn’t tell me in advance that it would shut me down for “15 minutes to 72 hours.” Thanks for nothing, guys!
UPDATED TO ADD: It’s back! It took several hours, but at least it wasn’t 72 hours.

This exact thing happened to a friend of mine who hosts the site for his business on GoDaddy. Fuckers.
Which is why I don’t trust hosting sites that advertise with chicks with huge racks during Superbowl.

Seriously, Fab. I ended up there for a variety of weird reasons and because everything is usually functional, I haven’t wanted to go through the ordeal of moving the site to another service.

Make sure, if you run off a database/cms system that you have your database backed up (or GoDaddy does it daily). My husband is a programmer and we’ve heard of a whole bunch of database driven sites getting hacked recently.

GoDaddy is supposed to be the absolute worst hosting service. If you need help, my Webmaster (kid) is a certified computer genius and we could enlist him for you.
If might be easier than you think to change hosting.
