If so, you’ll probably meet the financial office employees from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center there. They’ll be the ones charging you a fortune to enter the flames.
Once you get in the door, you’ll meet the Blogger folks who decided that captchas needed to be totally illegible.
I can barely read any of the captchas since this “upgrade” but I still see malware making it into people’s comments.
Are those Chinese characters? What the hell kind of font is that.
God, I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to post a comment because I can’t read the letters below…
That’s illegible. I’m so irritated by it, I’m thinking of removing the feature from my comments. I keep having to re-type my verifications, and each one is more confounding than the last.
Wow. Two Demons that need demonizing!
Nice post.
I seriously agree with you on the captchas, seriously Blogger?? They’re gettig a little ridiculous.
I completely agree. Usually, I just give up and move on, saving my wittiness for things I yell at people in traffic.
I hate these things! I feel like a complete imbecile because it usually takes me three attempts at least to get approval. They are impossible!
OMG Wendy – Once again it’s like you are inhabiting my brain. I just said to my husband yesterday that it’s out of hand. They’re getting worse, non? 3 tries is an average for me now, before the flippin’ program accepts my comments. Intrigued to see what I’ll be faced with when I try to post this one…
Yeah! I thought I was just imagining this!
that’s probably the worst i’ve seen but you’r right this is getting totally out of hand
I hate captchas.
I just copied one today that I couldn’t read. I think it was a picture of a chicken – but I’m not sure.

I was thinking that exact thing today. I actually typed 7 different codes before I got it right. What the hell are those symbols!
so annoyed by those unreadable lettercombo’s too! what is blogger thinking? c’mon people!
I TOTALLY agree. Sometimes I just give up posting on some people’s blogs because their totally illegible. It’s ridiculous.
Ok, so im not the only one!!! sometimes im just staring at those things like, are humans supposed to be able to type this???!!
Ahhh–the last couple of days I’ve noticed how the letters are piling on top of each other. Spammy comments almost sound good compared to this madness.
captchas are out of control and there are farms of people breaking the captcha in latin america. people have suggested using photos instead (like kitten captcha), it’ll help with the legibility, not with the captcha farms that will still break the code.
That is the closest visual representation of a sneeze I have ever seen. If I had that catchpa while leaving a comment, I would be tempted to type “GESUNDHEIT” in the box.
I’m pleased I’m not the only one who takes about 3 or 4 go’s before my comments are approved as well!
hee hee! I thought I was getting old — thank you for making me feel young again, Wendy.
LOL
I seldom get them right on the first try. And the M.D. Anderson story is appalling. (I had no idea that UCLA Medical Center had refused to admit Natalie Sarkisyan; most of the coverage of that story, as the WSJ article points out, focused on the insurer’s refusal to pay).
I feel your pain – I don’t understand why they make them so hard to decipher.
Is it just me, or did the captchas just get easier today – like much easier??
I usually just give up when I see one like that.
K.Line, I think Blogger experimented with the new style over the weekend (of course without telling anyone) and reverted afterwards. I guess enough people found a way to complain!
golly – i blamed my inability to read these darn things on my aging eyes…i feel so much better knowing i’m not alone!
I thought it was just me…typing these things six times before I get it right!
YES! Someone said it! THEY SUCK! (Forgot if I have them on my blog or not btw)
