This was my lucky week: two visits from California bloggers! Last night, I had dinner at Butter with gorgeous newlyweds Elizabeth and Dave of Observationmode. (Well, technically, Elizabeth is Observationmode and Dave is Mr. Observationmode.) The talented Craig from Altamira NYC was my date and our photographer. Craig! You should have told me that I was smiling so hard that my eyes had turned into tiny slits. I guess that’s what happens when Elizabeth and Dave come to town. You have so much fun that you start oversmiling and getting what Terri Berry refers to as “Betty Rubble eyes.” Consider yourselves warned.

Separately, the Washington Post has put up the winners of their Peep diorama contest here. I’m going to do some major shopping for half-priced Peeps and jellybeans tomorrow. The diet of champions!
