I wasn’t going to share this picture due to embarrassment, but plenty of my co-workers saw it at the time and it IS funny. I’m one of those people who tries to find something to laugh at even in dark times. It might be hysterical and inappropriate laughter, but still. When we went back to our building in April 2002, I looked in my desk drawers. Someone had taken my gym bag with my ratty old sneakers in it but had dumped out some of the contents.
Yes, folks, they left me a pile of pantiliners. Thanks! No, please, take the laptop and my stuffed cow: just leave me my feminine hygiene products!
On a serious note, the firm Cantor Fitzgerald lost an extraordinary number of people six years ago today. You may want to visit the families’ memorial website. I’m not sure if you can leave a note of sympathy there if you didn’t know the person in real life, but you can try. Maybe it will make a family member’s day a tiny bit better.
That is crazy and I will be checking that book out. Thanks! At least they thought about leaving you something…lol.
