The current issue of Vanity Fair (Gisele is on the cover) has an interesting article about Isabella Blow, the late, great fashionista and discoverer of Alexander McQueen and Philip Treacy. The article goes into great detail about her depression and the suicide attempts that led to her death. For someone of my macabre nature, I’m often most fascinated with this part of someone’s story. However, Isabella was so interesting and amusing that I would have been happier with more stories about her life. The article does include many excellent photos.
Speaking of photos, The Coveted has a nice picture of Isabella wearing a butterfly eye mask. UPDATED TO ADD: Now THIS is a great story. “T is for testicles”! Not as specific about her suicide attempts, perhaps, but much more enlightening.

There was a really interesting article about her in the Sunday Times (UK) magazine this past weekend. It had her happier and sadder times but it really highlighted what an intriguing character she was. It’s worth a read if you want me to scan and send it to you?
