Balenciaga’s ultra-expensive gold leggings seemed like a runway stunt, but shiny legs have crossed over into real-life wardrobes. It seemed to start with Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham. Or was it really American Apparel‘s gold leggings (see above)? Not everyone approves, but it’s now catching on in a big way despite the summer heat:

Not everyone’s a fan and some just aren’t sure but I say, why not? If American Apparel isn’t your thing, try Patricia Field. If you’re looking for something that’s not quite so skin-tight, try Allure Leather. Or you can be like me and get a pair of boots instead. So practical for rainy days, right?
Love the leggings! Now I’m just trying to figure out how to pull them off in Ohio…
It will have to be with great self-confidence, I’d imagine 🙂 Though if you wait till the cooler weather, they’ll be much easier to carry off, I think. They won’t be as provocative then as they are in August!

I was so tempted to buy a pair of “kylie” gold hotpants that were on sale in Topshop the other day…
I resisted, somehow i didn’t think they’d suit me..
They only suit Agathe because she is just so effortless!
