A lot of folks think that platinum is just for wedding rings; Academy Awards loaners from Harry Winston; and over-the-top rap-star chains. Platinum is my favorite white metal. It’s whiter than white gold (which is actually yellowish gold that’s plated with rhodium) and it doesn’t tarnish like silver. Practically synonymous with “the best of the best.”
