Apple has a software update called iOS 9.1 and it’s got 150 new emojis, including the much-desired middle finger!
Of course, I’ve been offering middle finger emoji jewelry since 2013. I wear the 18K gold version of my single stud earring every day. Seriously, I can be dressed for a black tie event, and I’ll still have that middle finger earring on.
I’ve also got middle finger rings and middle finger necklaces.
iOS 9.1 also includes the sign of the horns …
… which has been a stud earring in my collection for two years.
The Vulcan salute is now on the emoji keyboard. It was available with a previous software update but it was hidden.
I also introduced a jewelry version of that in 2013.
As for what else is on iOS 9.1, a lot of people are excited about the taco and unicorn emojis, but the new Champagne bottle one is more my style.
I do love tacos (beef only, please) but I love Champagne more.
So far, I don’t see any new emojis that I feel are jewelry-worthy, but I will have more emoji jewelry coming. As I’ve done before, I’ll be making up my own and waiting for Unicode to catch up with me! I’m actually surprised they didn’t do the crossed fingers this time; maybe those will arrive next year as originally reported. If you want a crossed fingers emoji right now, I’m your woman.
