I love Halloween, but there have been a few years recently when I missed dressing up for one reason or another. I decided to celebrate twice this year to make up for that. For Halloween Eve — October 30 — Stacy Lomman and I put on our disco best to go to my gorgeous friend Debra’s haunted disco party at the Mondrian Hotel.
Coincidentally, we both wore dresses with cowl backs and chain closures.
Here’s the outfit breakdown.
What Wendy Wore
Dress: Antik Batik (2008, seen here on New Year’s Eve 2012)
Shoes: Louis Vuitton (pre-2005)
Purse: From Galeries Lafayette (2011)
Gold sequin leg warmers and beret: A couple of dance costume websites.
Single earring: My own Matilda sword design.
I was very proud of my rings. Remember how people used to ask me why I did my word jewelry with individual letter rings, rather than making a single ring that spanned multiple fingers? Flexibility!
I also enjoyed my feather eyelashes, applied by gorgeous makeup artist Tennille Nielsen. You can see them best here.
Look closely to see the rhinestone “mole” above my lip.
We danced up a storm at the party, then put together entirely different costumes for Halloween itself. Stay tuned to see those!

Our lives are so similar! Maybe that’s why my anti-spam word was “nowhere.”

Very Regine’s!

Beautiful costume. I love when people get creative on Halloween; it’s the perfect occasion to experiment with fashion at the edge. I tried several new things myself this year with a Sydney Bristow (“Alias”) costume.
